I just want to know if the word "localhost" in the Attached Device Screen under Device Name is legit. Is it?
I did not notice this before and it might have been there all this time BUT I just want to know if this is normal.

Follow your suggestion. I found what the problem is/was. It was on another laptop where there was a private vpn (??) that was connected to the wifi. This was the source of my mysterious line item. No problem with this connection.
Feel much better now. Thought it was an "invasion" of my wifi from an unknown source!!!!!
Thank You Very Much

Define "legit". What are the other data in that entry in your
Attached Devices list?
Normally, "localhost" is associated with the loopback address,
127.0.0.1, but, at the risk of confusion, anyone could use it.

Re: localhost under "attached device"
I am asking if the word "localhost" should be listed or not. The other items listed are my laptop name, my cell phone (when it is turn-on, my printer and if my wife is using her laptop, her laptop name is listed also.
I could identify each line item that use the wi-fi except for "localhost." Perhaps this is "normal" but I don't know.

I'm asking what the other data (IP address, ...) are for that entry,
not the names of the other entries.

Without more data from that entry, neither do I.

Re: localhost under "attached device"
The Device Name listed is whatever hostname that is saved on the device.
Look for the device that has the IP address of 192.168.1.6 and check its hostname.
