losing internet several times a day

After spending time with netgear support and not getting any help without spending as much as the modem cost. 

After I canceled .

I researched on internet and found many incendents of people haveing the same problem.

One suggested changing the MTU Time to 1400.

I did that and it corrected my problem.

What modem do you have? 

What router do you have? 

firmware on the router? 

when the internet goes down, is all devices loosing connecting? Just wireless? Do wired devices drop? 

When its down, what do the leds on the router show? 

What have you done to try to fix it?
