Hi antropen_1881,
So here is the process to change your device name.
1. log into router through www.routerlogin.com
2. click Advanced> Setup > QoS Setup
3. Click the box to enable Dynamic QoS and click apply.
4. A window will pop up and ask you to proceed with the speed test. Click Yes
5. After the speed test is done. Click the blue hyperlink that says "Click here to see bandwidth utilication by device and application" at the bottom of the bottom of the window.
6. It will revert you to the attached device window.
7. check the box to the device you want to edit and click edit
8. make your changes. Click apply,
after you make your changes, you can turn the Dynamic QoS setting off and click apply.

Re: lost botton
Hi antropen_1881,
I have double checked and there is no "edit" tab under Attached Devices window. When you are in the "attached devices" window, to the top right of the screen is a link named "Access Control" to allow and block devices. What are you trying to do?

One could think about ...
- Set a device name
- Select a device type
- Manual QoS priority setting (no longer available)

You must be right. Once upon a time, there was some button to edit. With this control no longer available - it disappeared with the introduction of this "brilliant" automatic QoS feature - you can simply click on the device icon on the left side. This works at least on the very similar R9000 Genie Web UI.

Don't worry - many non-english speaking natives here.

The option to click on the device icon to the left side with the Attched Device listing does not work? This is what I get on the R9000:

Re: lost botton
Hi Shumaku,
Thank you for the response. I was figuring out what exactly he was attempting to do. He has a R8000 so it will be a little different process.

Same UI, same process, QoS requires to be enabled. Completely **** design.
