After a few weeks V1.0.4.26 has remained stable. Key is to factory reset after updating the firmware to V1.0.4.26, turn off MU-MIMO and Beamforming as has been recommended in other threads.
Beyond of a few reports of DHCP issues on alrger installations it's very silent around the R9000/R8900. 5 GHz is rock solid for us for the time we use it.
Build 28 - 5Ghz slows to a crawl or is unresponsive. 2.4 works fine. Wired works fine. In terms of radio related issue my RSSI and SNR are in the green according to Acrylic.

5Ghz broken yet again. 2.4 is working fine. I will post the content of the logs later but likely nothing of significance will show in there. The radio was transmitting and I can attempt to join it. However, my iPhone it promoted me for my password.
Went to my HP AIO and found I was able to connect to 5Ghz but no internet connection, then connected 2.4Ghz and from the HP it worked fine. Browsed the log. Reconnected from HP to 5Ghz and the Internet works on 5Ghz now for the HP.
Going to test from iPhone next (which is where I am making this post).
Works now from iPhone. I had previously rebooted the iPhone but no joy. Now it works. Seems to be a race condition in the R8900 firmware that gets reset by watchdog (doesn’t seem like very good embedded coding).
