problems setting up VPN
I tried unsuccessfully to set up the free netgear VPN, but can't seem to connect. I am not very computer savvy, so not sure what to tell you.
I followed, I think, the various articles here and in the manual to get a free Noip.com account for 30 days and to download the OVPN app to my samsung phone and computer. When I try to to move the switch on the app on the phone to connect it says it fails after acouple minutes.
Note that my Windows pc is connected wirelessly to the router witha N-300 Adapter. So it says my Netgear-VPN has a network cable unplugged on the pc network connections. Does it need to be wired for the VPN to work?
On the Netgear geneis does it matter whether the service provider is Netgear, or NoIp. Neither seems to connect.
Thanks for any help, Mike
Re: problems setting up VPN
well it seems to work now!
But very slow. at the gym, the speed was 3kb/s, too slow to do much of anything.
Is there any reason to pursue vpn as opposed to just using no wifi and using data?
