So the ui is gone does not any router function availible just a flashing power light. The ethernet function enough to try fail about half way for flashing with the two latest firmware. It has been rebooting about twice a day why I flashed in the first place.

You may be a candidate for the TFTP recovery scheme. See, for
example:

What, exactly, does "put files on it" mean to you? As usual, showing
actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error messages, LED
indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague descriptions or
interpretations.

Not a very detailed description of a multi-step process with many
variables.

_Which_ "the tftp app"? I'd try the (command-line) TFTP client
program wich comes with your (unspecified) computer OS, rather than any
third-party program.

Re: r6700v3 bricked after firmware update
I had the same experience with the firmware upgrade failing midway. I was able to get the new firmware in via the tftp approach - not easy - however, now the router is losing connectivity each day. The wifi is visible but you cannot connect and hardwire connections fail too. Basically the router stops working. A reboot gets it working again, but who wants to reboot their router every day? Router was working just fine until this latest update. Netgear, please look into this firmware update. It's got bugs.

Is it "losing connectivity" with your (unspecified) ISP/modem, or
with your client devices, or what? LED indicators? If you want to
pursue _your_ (different-hardware?, different-firmware?) problem, then
it would make sense to do it in your own, new thread. (Where a more
detailed description than "Basically the router stops working" might be
helpful.)

_Which_ "this firmware update"?
> [...] It's got bugs.
I can't remember seeing any bug-free Netgear router firmware.

I have no idea. Which version was working before you started on this
adventure?

I would leave the file name exactly as it was when you extracted it
from the .zip archive.

I'd expect a clear, complete, plain-text description of your actual
commands and their actual results (error messages, ...) to be at least
as helpful. Copy+paste is your friend.

Re: r6700v3 bricked after firmware update
Yes I did the rma process and they sent me a router r6300v2 which has no 5ghz range. What I learned to never buy a netgear product again.

Re: r6700v3 bricked after firmware update
I just bricked my R6700v3 apparently after trying to update the firmware. I've tried everything suggested. I cannot even reset it.
