r6700v3 internal wifi speed
I've just bought the Nighthawk AC1750 R6700 with firmware v3, everything works fine (range, cable, reaching internet speed)
my main issue is currently for internal usage, so PC to PC transfer or PC to NAS transfer, where the wifi speed seems to be slow.
(i'm not IT pro, so probably the setup isn't the best, but it works for me to have the best location for my devices without having to cable manage the whole house)
Using mainly CAT 7 cables
LTE Router for internet connection -> wired to -> gigabit switch Netgear GS305E 5Port
The switch has wired connections to my NAS and PC (all in one work room, lte+nas+pc's) and also to the Nighthawk AC1750 (positioned somewhere central in the house)
For the wired connections I'm getting 111MB/s which ok.
But via the 5Ghz I'm only getting around 30MB/s (tested it in various positions, close and far away)
Every device with support for 5ghz 400-800mbit wifi only only gets 30MB/s, but shouldnt it be close to 50?
Also, as far as I know I can only get to 450 with single stream clients, but with the gigabit wifi I should be able to get up to 450 with ~3devices due to the gigabit support.
But when testing to copy stuff from my NAS or PC with 2 devices the 30mb/s drop to 5mb/s.
I've tried to disable QoS but it seems like it is required to have it enabled. Disabling the WMM QoS settings slows down the wifi, and I've read somehwere that QoS is required recently to support faster speed (idk why)
Maybe my setup is not working correctly, maybe I'm using the wifi connections incorrectly?
If anyone can help me to make use of the gigabit wifi support please let me know.
Re: r6700v3 internal wifi speed
Have you tried to adjust the wireless channels of the wifi?
