Re: resetting my router
You could just reboot it. (power off, power on)
But I've got plenty of routers and never needed to "periodically reboot them".
What actual router do you have?
what modem/gateway is it connected to?
Why is spectrum telling you this? Were you having an issue?

First find out why they suggest that. As @plemans says, you shouldn't have to do that.
Do you have a problem that needs fixing? ISPs rarely know what they are talking about and often suggest "solutions" that make no sense.
