Everthing I read about the setup for this starts with "Download the Nighthawk app to your smartphone."
I don't have a smartphone, and have no plans to get one.
Now what? How do I set this up?

For the non-psychics in your audience, what, exactly, is everything
you read?
> Now what? How do I set this up?
I don't know how _you_ do it, but some people have met with some
success using this oft-neglected concept:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RTFM
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least). Read. Look for
"Use a Web Browser to Access the Router". Further reading might not
hurt, either.
Even the Quick Start guide explains where to find "user manuals".
It's not a well-kept secret.

Re: setup
Thank you for your sarcastic, condescending answer; it was very helpful.
