some devices cannot see the SSID
I am setting up different devices to connect the router by WIFI.
surprisingly, I have two mobiles that cannot see my SSID and so cannot connect. I have no ideas what to do. They connected to my old router without any problem. The two mobiles are samsung i9070 and Motorola XT535.
Any suggestions? Many thanks.

Re: some devices cannot see the SSID
Hi Alex,
this maybe a problem with a channel not supported by your devices. Try
using a different channel. Also check what region is selected. There may be
a problem with 802.11d or 802.11h between the Netgear and your devices.
If your problem is in the 2.4GHz band only, then also try to set your router
to "Short Preambel".

Re: some devices cannot see the SSID
If you're using same SSID on the new router as you used on old, delete them in the setup of each device.

Re: some devices cannot see the SSID
Oh, that works! Thanks Christoph! I fixed the channel to ch.3 and everything is fine. I set the channel as auto and I found it was using the ch13 which was the "best" channel according to some android diagnostic app. I think 13 is just too big for those old machine.
thanks a lot.
Alex
