That's not really an example, is it?
My D7000 (V1.0.1.74_1.0.1), under BASIC > Internet : Router MAC
Address, offers these choices:
( ) Use Default Address
( ) Use Computer MAC Address
( ) Use This MAC Address [user-supplied value]
For information on other models, visit http://netgear.com/support ,
put in the model number, and look for Documentation. Get the User
Manual. Read. Look for "MAC Address". The R7000, for example, seems
to look much like the D7000 in this respect.

Have you found a router which does _not_ have such an option?
