vpn will not connect on my Android Phone R7500 v2
For a while now I cannot connect my Android phone to VPN using openVPN app. I understand that Netgear updated the firmware to address the change to SHA 256 from MD5 and have the latest firmware. What is the issue and how can we resolve it. The only reasin I am using the router is for VPN.

You need to deploy the OpenVPN configuration from the router to all OpenVPN clients, like your Android device, again. The existing old configuration is not workable anymore due to the changed certificate signature algorithm.

I did. I updated to the latest firmware. Removed the openVPN app from my device with all data. Deployed new files from the router and installed again. No change. still won't connect.

Top right on OpenVPN App on Android there is an acess to the Log File.

15:50:21.433 -- UDP send error: send: Invalid argument
15:50:56.723 -- Server poll timeout, trying next remote entry...

Hm, lets hope Netgear has not introduced some new incompatibility here...
Have not changed the ports for TUN and TAP (numbers must be different) say from UDP to TCP on the router?
Have downloaded the Smartphone package as Android and iOS are only allowing the usage if TUN?

TUN is set on UDP at 12973
TAP is set on UDP at 12974
Never changed these.
