when will KRACK vulnerabilty fix be available.

https://kb.netgear.com/000049498/Security-Advisory-for-WPA-2-Vulnerabilities-PSV-2017-2826-PSV-2017-... mentions that the R8500 is vulnerable to the KRACk attack for  any R8500 running firmware version 1.0.2.106 or earlier.  106 is the current version and still available for download.  When will a patched version be available?   Is there a workaround in the meantime?

Here is one of many messages that you will find if you search this forum for KRACK.

even more:

How you deal with it depends on your level of paranoia. To be really secure stop using all wifi clients. That seems to be where the problem lies, not in your router.

Yes, it's almost as if we've read the same articles.  It still doesn't answer "when will a patch be available".   NetGear's response is substandard compared to other vendors, they need to step it up.  https://www.windowscentral.com/vendors-who-have-patched-krack-wpa2-wi-fi-vulnerability

This is totally inexcusible that Netgear has not released a fix. I am now running DDWRT because their firmware HAS the fix. Netgear when will a fix be ready? This is really dissappointing to say the least.
