wifi router or mesh .... which drops less?

We have a nighthawk ac3000 R7900 that drops internet multiple times a day.   Would a mesh drop less?  Thanks

depends on why its dropping. 

1. what size is the home and what are the interior walls made of?

2. when your internet drops, what actually happens? Do you get "connected, no internet", is the phone/tablet/device unable to see the wifi at all? 

3. do wired devices drop? 

4. What modem/gateway do you have?
