wired vs wireless
Just replaced this (installed new AX router); when I returned to it's original package,
discovered it's predecessor (N600) in box...now have TWO old routers with no use!
Query: can either/both of these be reconfigured to become 'extender' to new router?
Any other viable uses? Or are they simply paperweights that I toss into the landfill??

Re: wired vs wireless
The r7000 does have an extender mode.

it also has a wide following of 3rd party firmwares. Everything from openwrt, ddwrt, to vpn firmwares like expressvpn.
Many options for it.
