4 STREAMS ON 3 ANTENNA? 4X4 MIMO?
I purchased the AX1800 (r6700) 4 stream router and have a question. Does the router support 4x4 MIMO? My s10 supports 4x4 MIMO and I want to make sure that the router does also.
I have another question. How is it possible to have 4 streams on just 3 antennae? I thought that each stream required a physical antenna.
Is the AX1900 (R6700) a true 4x4, 4 stream router?

Re: 4 STREAMS ON 3 ANTENNA? 4X4 MIMO?
2 things.
1. your s10 isn't 4x4 device. It supports connecting to routers with that but its only a 2x2 antenna device. so it won't see a speed benefit going to a 4x4 versus 2x2 antenna router.
2. the R6700AX is a AX1800 device. That means it has 600mbps (link speed) over a 2x2 2.4ghz connection and 1200mbps (link speed) over a 2x2ghz connection. Its 5ghz supports 80hz wide channels which makes it the 1.2gig wireless link
