All devices can't connect to wireless unless I restart the router
Has been working fine for a year.
Now, almost once a day I lose connection from all devices to the wireless networks (both 2.4 and 5Ghz). The SSIDs are still visible but I can't connect to them. Only thing that solves it is a restart/reboot in one of these ways:
-From Admin control (wired connection)
-Using the power button on the router
-Disconnecting and reconnecting the power adapter
Then I have to wait ~2-3 minutes before it boots up again.
Any tips or things to check next time it happens?
Thanks!

Re: All devices can't connect to wireless unless I restart the router
what modem/gateway do you have it connected to?
Firmware on the router?
Have you tried a factory reset and reinstall? The rax devices were released before the AX spec was even finalized. They tend to respond favorably to factory resets when there's issues

Re: All devices can't connect to wireless unless I restart the router
Hi Plemans, thanks for your reply.
Router FW is 1.0.3.88_1.0.1
Checked now and there are no available updates.
Connected to my private Motorola MB 7621. The modem works. Also checked outages with Comcast and there aren't any now.
If you want, I'll do a factory reset, reinstall, update to latest, update my settings (just SSID names and passwords, I'm not messing around with anything else) and report back if the problem persists.
Thanks,
Leo

Re: All devices can't connect to wireless unless I restart the router
OK, went ahead and did it all.
First I'd like to mention, I'm not sure if it makes a difference but I have the RAX35, not the 40 like stated above.
Reset the router to factory settings - done!
Tried to update to latest FW - even after the reset it says there's no update available. Also checked manually on Netgear and it seems I'm running the latest (88).
Upated SSIDs and passwords, changed nothing else.
Check date and time, and let's see how long it lasts before I lose the ability to connect to the wireless networks again. Anything you want me to check if/when it happens? If I still have wired connection? Maybe print out the router log?
Thanks,
Leo

Definitely check if both wired and wireless go down.
Also, if you can access the router or if its just the internet dropping.

Re: All devices can't connect to wireless unless I restart the router
Got it.
I think last time I rebooted from admin control with my wired desktop, so wired is fine.
Re the connection, the devices can't even connect to the SSIDs (5 or 2.4).
I'll update if/when it happens.
