Can I Replace CenturyLink C1100T with AX4300?
I have a CenturyLink C1100T WiFi/Router and would like to completely replace it with a NetGear AX4300. Is this possible?
If so, are there some directions/instructions I can follow that will walk me through it?
If a complete replacement isn't possible, is it possible to change the C1100T over to being ONLY a bridge/passthrough? This would be a tolerable second choice.

By the way, if it makes a difference, I have fiber optic. There's a box in the house (that goes from fiber to ethernet) that the C1100T plugs into.

"AX4300" is a speed, not a model number. Look for "Model" on the
product label. RAX45?

It probabaly does.

Thanks for that detailed description of your (unspecified) "a box".

_What_ on the C1100T is connected to your (unspecified) "a box"?

Other than the router documentation? I wouldn't bet on it. If might
help if anyone could see the configuration of your C1100T. Possibly
interesting:
https://www.centurylink.com/home/help/internet/modems-and-routers/zyxel-c1100z.html
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least). Read?
If your (unspecified) "a box" is connected to the [LAN/]WAN port on
the C1100T, then I'd guess that the C1100T is acting as a router-only,
so a Netgear router might be able to substitute for it. I'd expect
that CenturyLink could provide the required configuration details, even
if they don't want to help you configure you third-party device.

Re: Can I Replace CenturyLink C1100T with AX4300?
My Netgear router is an AX6. The box which converts the fiber to ethernet is a Calix 716GE-I.

Which part of 'Look for "Model" on the product label' was unclear to
you? The "product label" is the label on the product.

Ok. That's an ONT. You can think of it as a modem, if you want.
I'd guess that one of its (four) Ethernet ports should be connected to
the WAN/Internet port on your Netgear router.
General advice: This whole Q&A thing often works better if every Q
gets an A. Look for "?".
Still plenty of unknown router configuration details. You could try
connecting it instead of the C1100T, and see if its set-up wizard can
puzzle out the details.

I'll go somewhere else for help. I'm not going to spend another second talking to an **bleep** like you.
