But you can use the browser to install the router.

Indeed, many of us prefer the browser because it give us more control and opens the door to many features that are buried in the app.

All you have to do is to launch a browser on the chromebook, then tell it to go to:

http://www.routerlogin.com

or

http://192.168.1.1

The documentation in the box insists on using the app, but if yiu get the full menual, all this is explai ed there:

Manuals are always a good place to start.

Visit the support pages:

Support | NETGEAR

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. The first couple of chapters should sort you out.
