How do I connect 3 routers to a Pace 5286 ACX FXN Modem/Router combo?
I have property with a cabin and 2 out-buildings on it. I have ran ethernet from the cabin to both out-buildings. The NightHawk AX5 (RAX43) router is right next to the Pace modem and connected in the cabin. I would like to run the other 2 AC1000 (Model #R6080) routers to the other buildings also from the Pace modem. The firmware on the the RAX43 is v1.0.16.132. The other 2 will not connect on the nighthawk app. The ISP is AT&T fixed wireless. Environment is the forrest, but the Internet speed is dl=67.94-ul=24.86 in the cabin. OS I'm using is is either iOS or macOS.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks,

Start with some questions, what network capability do you need in the out-buildings? Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or both?
Your Pace 5286 gateway is a combination modem Wi-Fi router. You will find most here on the Netgear forum are not familiar with the capability or configuration of your gateway. However, it is a routine occurrence when users connect one or more devices configured as a Wi-Fi routers downstream from another Wi-Fi router. A configuration for disaster.
Do you presently have your RAX43 connected downstream from your Pace 5286? Do you think it is working properly?
Have you investigated the configuration of your gateway? Are you able to connect to the Wi-Fi from your gateway? Have you connected a computer to your gateway via Ethernet?

Re: How do I connect 3 routers to a Pace 5286 ACX FXN Modem/Router combo?
You're double natting. A double nat happens when you cascade more than 1 router.

Fixes? There’s 3 options but only use 1.
1. Put the modem/gateway in modem only/pass through mode. This disables its routing functions. Probably not the best option for your setup.
2. Leave the modem/gateway in router mode but put the Netgears IP address into its DMZ. This forwards the data to the netgear. You can either leave the modem/gateway’s wireless enabled or disabled. Just make sure its using a different wifi channel to prevent interference. Won't work in your situation as you have 3x routers you need to connect and not just one.
3. Put the Netgear into access point mode. This disables its routing functions. Wifi/ethernet still works but it does disable some features.

probably the best option for your situation.
While the above should get you working, you're using a mix/match of devices/equipment. If it was me with those speeds? I'd pickup a cheap renewed RBK43 or RBK753. Then you could go pace---->netgear router (in cabin)---->satellites (in outbuilding). You'd hardwire the satellites to the netgear router. That'd make a mesh and you could roam between buildings without issue and have one device managing it. You'd still need to connect the orbi to the pace router but then you could follow the above guide.
PS. Those R6080 are pretty low performing devices and old.
