How to block a website (Netgear Nighthawk RAX45)

Question

I am trying to block a website from anyone. I tried this:

Entered the website as "www.websiteIwanttoblock.com", where "websiteIwanttoblock" is the name of the website I want to block. This does nothing I can see. That is, I can easily go to the website I supposedly just blocked.

Is there a way to block specific websites using the Netgear router I have?

Netgear Nighthawk RAX45, latest firmware.

If my router cannot do this, is there another router that can?

Thank you.&nbsp; I remember when we looked into this last time that the problem was each device already encrypts the signal that's being sent.&nbsp; So, you'd have to decrypt it.&nbsp;I'll look into that DNS blocking setup.

the problem is that most sites switched to https that encrypts the information. It made website blocking more challenging.
Most switch to a DNS blocking setup using something like opendns&nbsp;
https://www.opendns.com/home-internet-security/
