Re: I cannot access the router from a pc
Press the reset button for 15 seconds then release. Have one wired PC connected then navigate to 192.168.1.1 to see if you can access the routers web page after about 1 minute.
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.

A reset is the nuclear option. Best avoided. There are plenty of other things to try first.
But what to try depends on what you have at your end.
What is this Netgear router?
And what is this webpage that you land on?

Well done. Certainly safer than going back to square one.
I was about to mark this as SOLVED – for the benefit of anyone who turns up later – but then wondered if a few more details might be useful.
Any tips for fellow victims?

Re: I cannot access the router from a pc
Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
