Internet Led frequently turning off

My RAX50 having problems loosing internet randomly with Internet Led turning off. Startet two months ago. No problems before that, and no cable issues. Have to restart to fix. Most recent firmware.
Pls advice.

How did you check that?

 

A number is more useful than "the latest". There can be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface or using an app.

It might help if you told people what the modem is in front of this router, if there is one. The make and model number could be useful. Is it, by any chance, also a router, with a set of LAN ports on the back?

The reason for asking is that a lot of people turn up here trying to put a router behind a modem that is also a router. That can complicate troubleshooting.

Does the modem have any LEDs to show what is happening there?

Fw: 1.0.12.120.
Router is connected to a fiber modem (Genexis) that is also a ruter. Unfortunately not able to detach the modem to check for the model. The router functionallity in the modem was disabled (incl wifi) or in bridge mode years before the problems started. Connected to RAX with cat6 cable. Older netgear router (R7000P) worked fine. Hope this helps.

Well, you've raised the dreaded NAT issue, but you do seem to have it in hand. But disabled wifi is not the same as bridge mode.

 

Any chance that it reset itself and needs to be set up again?

 

Have you tried a reset on the RAX?

 

Do you have a power adapter you could try (from the R7000P?) to check that this isn't going bad?
