My AC WIFI connection of RAX50 is much slower than R6300V2

I recently upgraded from R6300V2 to RAX50. The wifi connection of my phone (AC) was constantly 100-200 Mbps with R6300V2 (5GHZ) but now drop to 60 Mbps with RAX50(5GHZ) . Any idea why? Thanks.

The RAX50 uses smart connect/bandsteering. meaning it can move devices between the 2.4ghz and 5ghz band. 

2.4ghz is much much slower than 5ghz. So you'd want to check to see if your phone is connected to the 2.4ghz or 5ghz. 

Because 60mbps is actually pretty darned good over 2.4ghz but is slow over 5ghz.
