NETGEAR Nighthawk WiFi 6E Router (RAXE300) - IoT Vlan
Hi Guys, I want to separate my smart plugs, wifi cameras on a separate VLAN. My Cybersecurity friends said I should do it. 🙂
Is there a tutorial some where in this community that I could reference.
Thank you

Something that the RAXE router doesn't support.
Only NG model systems that have some support for separate IoT networks is Orbi Pro 80 and 30 series and Orbi Home 7, 8 and 9 series MESH systems.

So I can't segment my network period on this device. Advanced setting shows many options. Thank you!

You could put them on the guest network if you really wanted.

Re: NETGEAR Nighthawk WiFi 6E Router (RAXE300) - IoT Vlan
Guest Network as mentioned has it's own separate network IP address, however that tied directly to the WAN port and internet services, thus no firewall protection here. Otherwise, no segmentation is supported on this model router.

Do your Cybersecurity explain why you should do this? Many many people happily have IoT things working on the same network. The sky has yet to fall in.
