Netgear routes resteting to default setting after power loss
Hi all, I have had a few netgear routers in the last 5 years. Our current model is Nighthawk RAX42 and when rebooted or just a power loss the router default back to 192.196.1.1 and I have to log in and reset the LAN to out internal ip. I have tried all of the setting to prevent this from happening, but I at a loss. and suggestions? Thanks

Why do you need a non-standard internal IP address?
I ask because it may offer clues as to why your router has a mind of its own.
What's the modem/ONT/gateway between the router and the Internet?
