To update your router’s firmware, follow the instructions in your router’s user manual. To view your router’s user manual, visit https://www.netgear.com/support/product/RAX70.aspx#docs
Backup the routers configuration first:
Manually update FW on the router if this isn't seen on the routers web page: Recommended

NOTE: A factory reset and setup from scratch maybe needed if problems are encountered after applying FW updates:
https://kb.netgear.com/9665/How-do-I-perform-a-factory-reset-on-my-NETGEAR-router
NOTE: Recommend setting the default DHCP IP address pool range to the following after applying and a factory reset: 192.168.#.100 to 192.168.#.200.
NOTE: Its recommended to install a USB laptop cooler under the router for 24/4 cooling. Helps keep the router cool and helps avoid heat damage to the electronics.

Re: New - RAX70/78 Firmware Version 1.0.15.146 Released
Tried to update my router with new version of firmware 1.0.15.146 logging on to my router using my windows PC and iPhone using nighthawk app. version 2.42.0.56. The function used to check for updates displays that no new firmware is available, and the router is up to date. My router is at firmware version 1.0.10.140. When I tried to upload manually, I can upload version 1.0.15.146.img. The router upload function is looking for 1.0.15.146.chk. I cannot find a .chk version. Does anyone know where it is?

What browser are you using? Try MS Edge or Firefox?
Did the .img version update the router?
