Re: New - RAXE500 Firmware Version 1.0.8.70 Released

Hi I have a RAXE500 with the beta driver Firmware Version V1.0.7.69_2.0.35_accessCtrl. Will I loose functionality if I upgrade to RAXE500 Firmware Version 1.0.8.70?

I wouldn't think so. I'd make a back up configuration to file prior to upgrading. Load up the new FW using a wired PC and web browser. After the router is back to ready, power the ISP modem and the router OFF for 1 full minute or longer then back ON. Check operation.

Re: New - RAXE500 Firmware Version 1.0.8.70 Released

@AnteresStar   I also have a "special" beta FW that addressed a specific situation with some of my wifi devices.    I've been told that the two or three FW updates that were released after my version do NOT have the fix that's in my beta FW so I'd lose that fix if I updated.

It looks like your beta software was built to address the missing AC list and if so, then this newest one could be the same.  However, if your beta version also contained other fixes for problems you had, then maybe not.

As long as you still have the beta FW update file, I see no reason you couldn't install the new release.  If it turns out that it breaks something then you could always just reinstall the beta FW.

I think it's low risk to upgrade to v1.0.8.70
