Nighthawk AX1800 Constantly pinging www.netgear.com
I just bout the AX1800 form Costco. I run a Pi-Hole ad blocker and I was bummed when I saw you couldn't add custom DNS servers to the DHCP server. After doing some digging I found that I could point the DNS server from the Internet Setup page to my Pi-Hole ad blocker. It works okay and does block the ads however all traffic shows that it's comeing from _gateway and doesn't seperate all the traffic to the other clients on the network. After two days, "_gateway" had reached the top of the Permitted Domains with a very high rate going to www.netgear.com. (I'm NOT pinging www.netgear.com on any machine) When I pulled up the logs it does look like it's a constant ping coming from the main router. The time stams are showing around two per second. Is this normal? If not, how do I shut this off? Thanks!

Re: Nighthawk AX1800 Constantly pinging www.netgear.com
I have a MR60 (MR60 router unit with a MR60 satellite).
I have been using PiHole on a Raspberry Pi Zero for a couple of months now, and since approx 2021-02-12 something, most likely my router or satellite is connecting to "www.netgear.com".
It's not the NTP, I changed that to Google's.
What the heck is going on Netgear?!
