Nighthawk® AX4 4G LTE Modem + WiFi 6 Router WiFi network. SN 6BG2197EA024A

Hi,  Will this router operate the WiFi network without a sim card or when out of cellular service? I want to be able to link devices on the wifi network and dont always have cell coverage.

Thanks,

Kev

I see no sign that the RAX40 in your footer has anything to do with LTE and sim cards.

So what device are you asking about. The only hardware I can find that fits in with the "AX4 4G LTE" bit in your subject is the LAX20. Is that what you own?

Neither of those devices is one of the Nighthawk WiFi Routers covered here.

A couple of places to try:

Nighthawk Routers with WiFi 6 (AX) - NETGEAR Communities

Mobile Routers, Hotspots & Modems

Those things are very different from the standard Netgear routers covered in this section.

They might not be right either. Depends on what hardware you own.

Manuals are also a good place to start.

Visit the support pages:

Support | NETGEAR

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.

You may have done that already. I can't tell from your message.

I mention it because Netgear gave up on supplying paper manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

Thanks for your advice, yes my unit is the LAX20 box, but that wasn't an available option in the drop down boxes.  I have approached the other forum that you mentioned.  Attached is a photo of the unit box if this helps at all.
