Nighthawk AX6 6-Stream AX5300 WiFi Router
Newcat 5 cables
The router is only two years old. But out of warranty. I would really hate to have to go buy a brand new one.

Re: Nighthawk AX6 6-Stream AX5300 WiFi Router
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.
Are you speed testing with a wired PC or wireless device? Wired speed testing is preferred with a PC or laptop.

Re: Nighthawk AX6 6-Stream AX5300 WiFi Router
All I know is Charter said that’s the newest modem they have (they replaced it a year ago ) and when I tested the speed from the computer directly from the modem, it was 960 mbps. And yes, after I double checked my receipts on those cables, they Cat 6.
This router is about a year and a half old.
This problem just started like three days ago ago.

Re: Nighthawk AX6 6-Stream AX5300 WiFi Router
IF you can get a model# off the ISP modem, would be helpful.
This happen across multiple connected PCs or Laptops?
Possible if this had been working for a while, something on your devices may have changed?
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Smart Parental Controls or Circle, Traffic Meter.
Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.

Re: Nighthawk AX6 6-Stream AX5300 WiFi Router
For consistency, recommend you use the Ookla stand alone testing application available from the play stores. Install the program on a computer and connect the computer to your router with an Ethernet cable.
This test setup avoids any of the inconsistencies associated with testing through a web browser or over Wi-Fi. The Ookla program also keeps a good historical record of the results.
Even with the Ookla application, real world test results can vary by plus or minus 15 Mbps from test to test.
Have you tried the internal throughput test option available in the Nighthawk mobile application?

Re: Nighthawk AX6 6-Stream AX5300 WiFi Router
The one attachment shows it being wireless.
What wired device are you using for speed testing?
Using Ooklas installable speed test on this one wired device? PC or laptop should see near 1Gb if you have this service with the ISP.
What speeds do you get with a wired PC connected directly to the back of the ISP modem?
