Nighthawk AX8 AX6600 8 Stream Tri-Band - 5Ghz WiFi Range Query
Hi guys,
Recently purchased a Nighthawk AX8 8-Stream Tri-Band AX6600 Router and loving it so far. I did have a query however regarding the WiFi range, particularly with the two 5Ghz bands.
I have noticed that I easily get more range with the secondary 5Ghz band as opposed to the primary (or first) band. I don't have any issues with speed on either band, and performance is on par between the two, but I was wondering if this was expected behaviour, or if there's something I could change on my end. As this is my first Tri-Band router, I'm not sure if others are seeing similar behaviour. If not, I'm hoping there's something I could change on my end.
I also tried changing channels via the 5GHz 1 band, but didn't notice much difference.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

Re: Nighthawk AX8 AX6600 8 Stream Tri-Band - 5Ghz WiFi Range Query
I think its changed but the broadcast power for the lower 5ghz bands used to be 200mW versus the upper band was 900mW.
Not sure if thats still the case as I know the fcc bumped up the lower bands power levels.
