Nighthawk CAX30 no bridge mode?
Hi all, just got a Nighthawk CAX30 and I want to run it as a modem and router only. I have a Unifi WiFi system plugged into the router and therefore need to put it in bridge mode. I have searched for hours on how to put this modem into bridge mode but can't find anything!
All my devices are connected but I can't access the controlled that runs my Unifi WiFi system and I think that's because I need to put the nighthawk into bridge mode.
Any help here is much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

The CAX30 does have a bridge mode, though I don't remember exactly which cection it is located in the advanced menu.
One thing to consider is your unifi setup. Are you using unifi devices that have their own router, or are you just using their APs?If using their APs, then you will need to leave the router function enable on the CAX30. If you are using one of their other devices, such as their UDM devices, then the CAX30 will need to be placed in its bridge mode.
PS, as a side note, if using the Unifi dream machine pro, the 8 port switch that is built in, uses an internal 1GbE connection to the rest of the UDM device, those even with LACP those devices will top out at 1gigabit overall throughput when communicating with resources outside of the 8 port switch, thus if using one, it is best to use the 10GbE connections to connect to a subsequent switch.
- thehomezAspirantThanks so much for the help. The unifis are all just WAPs.
I can't seem to find the darn bridge mode. Good news is that I found the Cloud Key Controller! It was on a different subnet as my previous Netgear router used a different subnet.
And that's a great point about the switch. Much appreciated!
Do I even need to use bridge mode with my setup?- FURRYe38Guru - Experienced User
Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the Cable Modem products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with Cable modems and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this router forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:

The CAX does not have a "bridge" mode. It had either a router or modem only mode. If you don't want to use the CAX's router and wifi features, then under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Router Mode you find I believe Yes or No. For Router mode, leave it as Yes. For modem only mode, select No.Please use this link to the main forum product list to review and choose where to make your posts.
