Nighthawk RAX75 dropping wired connection from Nighthawk RAX20 Access Point
Hi all -
Currently I am running a Nighthawk RAX75 as my router and an RAX20 router setup as an access point on the other side of the house. They are connected via a dedicated cat6 cable running through the wall. The problem I am having is the RAX75 randomly looses it's connection to the RAX20. I have tried moving the cable to different ports but nothing seems to work.
Any tips/suggestions is greatly appreciated as I am losing my mind with this.
Thanks!

Re: Nighthawk RAX75 dropping wired connection from Nighthawk RAX20 Access Point
what actually happens?
Do all devices disconnect from wifi?
Do they say "connected, no internet"?
Do wired devices drop?
Do other wired devices connected to the RAX75 drop?
What firmware is on the routers? (each)
What modem/gateway is the RAX75 connected to?

Re: Nighthawk RAX75 dropping wired connection from Nighthawk RAX20 Access Point
Thank you very much for your reply!
1. What actually happens
The internet is no longer accessible at the access point. By logging into the RAX75 via 192.168.1.1 I can see it is not recognizing the wired connection. I have the RAX20 plugged into the first LAN port and it is being recognized as connected there. However, when I log into the router under Attached Devices it is not showing the device as connected anywhere. When it is connected it appears as "Wired". If I remove the ethernet cable from the LAN port and immediately plug it back in, the router will recognize the cable and suddenly under Attached Devices the RAX20 will appear as "Wired" again.
Around 20 mins to 2 hours later the connection will then disappear under Attached Devices. I will have to manually remove it from the LAN port and plug it back in for the router to recognize it again. Rinse. Repeat.
It is worth mentioning I've tried the other LAN ports. Same thing happens.
2. Do all devices disconnet from wifi?
No, the devices connected to the RAX20 Access Point are still connected, but the internet does not work. The devices connected to the RAX75 stay connected and work just fine. It is worth mentioning I have a hardwired PC connected to the RAX75 router and it never loses connection.
3. Do they say "connected, no internet"?
To be honest I am not sure. Nothing loads and I get whatever common error on the device browser that notifies me there is no internet connection.
4. Do wired devices drop?
There is only a PC wired to the RAX75 router that never loses connection. It's just the RAX20 AP that drops very frequently. There is nothing hardwired to the RAX20 AP.
5. Do other wired devices connected to the RAX75 drop?
Nope, the PC stays connected all the time.
6. What firmware is on the routers? (each)
RAX75: V1.0.5.132_1.0.69
RAX20: V1.0.4.100_2.0.64
Both when checking for an update via routerlogin.net (not the app) say both devices are up-to-date.
7. What modem/gateway is the RAX75 connected to?
It is connected to a Netgear Nighthawk CM 1100.
Thank you again for your response and assistance with this!
Also, sorry if this posts three times, for whatever reason the site isn't showing my response.
