Nighthawk RAX80 doesn't last.
Hello and thanks for taking the time. I have a small office, 6-computers connected to a Netgear Prosafe managed switch with VOIP phones, printers etc.. The Nighthawk router is connected by power to a good UPS and the WAN connection also runs through the UPS and then to the cable modem. The LAN wire-1 is connected to the Prosafe switch.
I've gone through three routers in the last year which is really getting annoying. I don't know what to install next or how to figure out why. The first two times seem to relate to an outage on the cable side, cable company had to fix and once replaced the modem. The third time is not too different except we called the ISP, they said they're aware of the outage, the LAN was working fine so you'd expect that when the internet came back on the router would be fine. Now the router doesn't work at the same time they fix the internet. The router turns on, the orange power light is on and the modem link-light blinks and then goes to off. The router fan is on high but nothing more ever happens, no wifi, no connectivity on either side, WAN/LAN. I tried to reset it and connect it only to my laptop, nothing.
Please offer me an idea on what to do so this issue ends.
John
