R7000 -> RAX80 vlan is horrible

The issue is simple and yet impossible to solve probably without a firmware fix.

I have a perfectly working R7000. I bought a RAX80 thinking to get some boost in coverage/wifi.

I used exaclty the same settings and this is the result:

The download speed is fine (speedtest) but the upload speed is really bad (1%). When I am doing a video call it constantly lags and throws issues during video calls.

With https://packetlosstest.com/ I can see +70% packets drop constantly.

This is my setup

Outside line -> Netgear (vlan)

The funny part is if I just use the RAX80 as AP without vlan it works perfect

Outside line -> Netgear R7000 (vlan) -> Netgear RAX80

Basically VLAN is broken 😕

What is the firmware version you are using the RAX80?

I tried 3 firmwares and they all have same issue.

Kind of scary how netgear doesn’t even care about the obvious broken firmware for vlan.

Atleast remove its functionality or don’t market with it.
