RAX12 Weird Issues
Hi all,
Need some advice please – I am seeing weird issues when using laptops in my bedroom using 5ghz AX. For a while the laptop runs perfectly fine (pinging gateway to verify) I see pings to 1 – 2ms consistently while browsing and running speedtest, then after some random time I see pings spike up to 700ms + when trying to use the laptop to browse or run the same speedtest – this persists until I disconnect and reconnect to the same WIFI network, then after sometime I exhibit the same issue and described above while in the bedroom.
After I bring the laptop back to the room where the router is, the problem persists until I disconnect and reconnect. Once I disconnect and reconnect everything goes back to normal.
I am using the latest firmware and have reset the device to factory. Also to note this is happening across multiple windows laptops. Also to note, my main machine which is in the same room as the router does not exhibit these issues WIFI works perfectly fine.
edit – one thing to note, problem happens whether the laptops are connected to power or on battery.

Re: RAX12 Weird Issues
One interesting point, this only happens on my windows laptops, the apple products, mac laptop/ipad/iphone do not exhibit this behavior in the bedroom...

Re: RAX12 Weird Issues
Hello bondibro,
I would check to see if your windows laptop is due for a driver update.
