RAX36S AX4 Router AX3000 Wifi cutting in and out
PURCHASE: July 2024
FIRMWARE: V1.0.3.34
# WIFI DEVICES ATTACHED: 25
- 3 iphones
- 3 laptops
- 1 Chromecast (generation 3)
- 18 various smart devices (light blubs, heaters, aircon, etc)
I purchased my router in July 2024 and enjoyed a month of uninterrupted service across my WiFi network. However, upon returning from a three-week trip abroad, I've encountered significant instability issues.
Initially, I noticed frequent resets and interruptions in the WiFi network, occurring every 2-5 minutes. After consulting online forums, I performed a hard reset of the router and set it up again from scratch.
While this resolved the frequent resets, the network continues to be unstable, with all devices intermittently dropping off the WiFi network.
I've conducted tests by sequentially turning on WiFi devices to assess if the number of connected devices is causing the instability. It appears that this might be the issue. However, during my purchase, I was assured by the sales assistant that this router could easily handle the number of devices in my home.
I would greatly appreciate any insights, experiences, or advice regarding this issue. Specifically, I'm curious if I may have selected the wrong router for my needs, or if there could be a defect in the router itself.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
