Why doesn't NetGear show up on my IPad and phone as being my WiFi? It was there at one time then disappeared

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least). Read. Look for the
LED descriptions and "Troubleshoot". Pay particular attention to the
"WiFi LED" (formerly known as the "WiFi On/Off button with LED", until
some sub-genius "improved" the manuals). Did you press it? Further
reading might not hurt, either.
