RAX80 No Internet Suddenly
I have had it for 2 years. Local wifi still works fine, just not getting a signal from the modem. Bypassed the router with a different one and it works fine. Tried the lastest three versions of the firmware and factory reset on each version. Swapped the cable. Could it be a bad input ethernet port? If so, how would I go about replacing said port? I don't know the first thing about how to open this thing, and Netgear charges you for even troubleshooting this. I am on the verge of just tossing this thing in the garbage and never buying a netgear product again, not because it failed, but because my avenues for repair and replacement are so awful.
I wouldn't mind paying Netgea2r to repair it or replace it with a refurbished product a partial cost of a new one, but they won't even look at it without me paying like $90.
Any ideas?

Re: RAX80 No Internet Suddenly
Try this.
Disconnect everything from both the modem and the router. Even coax from the modem.
Wait 10 minutes.
Connect coax back to the modem and power it on.
Wait 2 minutes.
Connect cable from the modem to wan port on RAX.
Power the RAX on and give it a couple minutes.
Attempt setup on the RAx.

Re: RAX80 No Internet Suddenly
Thank you so much for your help. The reason I didn't immediately respond was because my backup router also stopped working immediately afterward.
I put two and two together and realized that there was a cable line surge both times. And in fact, all my neighbors had the same problem. Weird, because lightning didn't really strike that close and the storm wasn't that bad.
Technician came out to check the box hub after the whole block lost their modems and routers. No ground pin at all.
Now Spectrum is paying us all out for the damages (at least partially; we'll see). Still no ground pin, but the work order is in. Going to keep my modem and router unplugged during storms until they fix that.
Thanks again.

Re: RAX80 No Internet Suddenly
glad to hear you got the issue figured out.
Sadly its on the ISP.
You might mark it solved so others aren't still trying to fix the issue 🙂
