SSH Portforwarding RAX80
On my netgear router, I setup portforwarding using port 22 for ssh along with the local ip of the computer I would like to ssh to. Once setup in this way, I can sometimes ssh remotely successfully, but most of the time I am not able to and get a connection timeout or connection refused. I have not been able to pinpoint how to fix this problem. My internet provider uses as static ip which is the ip I am using when attempting to connect remotely (when not on the same network). Note that the connection works flawlessly when I connect locally on the same network. I have tried ssh'ing using the static ip with multiple devices and the issue persists.
