Seamless transition from R7800 to AXE11000?

Hi all, long time Netgear guy. I’ve had my R7800 router since 2017/2018 and it is still going relatively strong but I’ve noticed it doesn’t reach the rear room as well anymore. Still hitting 500mbps + 20mbps UL. Got its replacement a year ago on Amazon Prime Day and never swapped them. Could probably hang onto the R7800 a while longer, but it’s time. Should I swap? Is there a way to swap them without changing networks on 35 devices? I know they’re a little while apart. Thanks for any help!

If you just replace the R7800 with the new one, and the latter uses the same subnet (192.168.1.1 or similar) and the same SSIDs for wireless, then you won't have too many issues with your devices. Most will reconnect to the new router just fine.

I swap routers regularly. As long as you use the same ssid/password, it should all swap over fine. Its the rare device that doesn't.

Which AXE11000 is this? RAXE500?
