Slow 2.4 GHz wifi on RAX120v1
I am wondering if any one else is experiencing very slow internet download speeds on their RAX120v1 router on 2.4 GHz wifi network. Current firmware version = 1.2.8.40 Smart Connect = Off Same ...
What actual speeds do you get then? you still haven't said. Just the link speed.
And you will run into intermittent issues on 2.4ghz. Again, its a slower network and more sensitive to interference because of the smaller amount of channels available and channel overlap. Thats why there's a 5ghz network. Because of that issue with 2.4ghz.
I’ve tried to do an internet speed test during the intermittently slow internet speeds. Unable to test as it is so slow that speed test page doesn’t run properly.
Maybe it could be interference but would have thought changing to manual channel with channel sniffer would improve this. Instead it has worsened it.
If there is no solution or we are sure that it is not firmware related then I will have to accept it as possible interference.

Since my original post, I have upgraded my iPhone to the current iPhone 14 Pro. Strangely, there has been some improvement and I haven't noticed the problem as much. Perhaps it may be hardware with possible interference at the 2.4 GHz band.
