Smart connect issues
I have a issue with smart connect when the router combines 2ghz and 5ghz into one and let's the devices to decide what to pick to use. When smart connect is on I have one of my pcs that can not find the network at all. When smart connect is off the pc finds the network. Why might this be? Is it the wifi adapter is old and can not find the network name or what?

It should find the SSID. Both channels are out there, they just have the same SSID.
What router are you using?
WiFi adapter on the PC?
I'd look into the PC and its settings and drivers.
