Transmit Power (TRP) setting in RAX43
Netgear RAX43 -100EU Firmware Version V1.0.16.132_2.0.92 The router manual states that Transmit Power Control setting on the Netgear Nighthawk RAX43 can be found as follows: Once logged in, you...

It's a pity that these routers can't be tweaked. I wouldn't even mind if somebody kept the original Netgear firmware but tweaked it and added other usefully bits and pieces.
The original firmware is there for you to play with to your heart's content.
Visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
That page will also have software and a library of firmware versions for your device....
Then apply the newer firmware and see if your power levels are what you want. You won't be able to change that in the GUI but your wifi devices should let you know. If the power level is not what you want, reapply the saved settings and check again.
Not sure the OP does understand this when we talk about the newer firmware. I guess you intended pointing to the "View Previous Version" where earlier firmware releases are made available for download (silently accepting all the risks involved not operating the recent and current build):

Out of interest, why is it so important to have control over the Transmit Power setting?
I'm a little bit lost in what the OP want to achieve. On one hand seeking for

Although the specs point otherwise, I find the Wi-Fi of the RAX43 not as good and efficient as the R7000, hence my quest to find and tweak the Transmit Power. I'm even considering of upgrading the antenna if I can find the correct advice and the right ones for the RAX43.
The user accessible transmit power settings are always about restricting or limiting the power. Each of the four antennas supplied are designed to deliver the maximal permitted EIRP on the three bands. Often overseen, the power legally available on some channels is much, sometimes massively lower than on the others.

The RAX43 is even showing connected devices incorrectly - some are connected wirelessly, and it shows them as wired and vis a versa.
If true, it must be a very obvious bug - or are you operating a wireless access point connected to the LAN of this RAX43? Some proof, firmware version, ... would allow Netgear to jump in on these issues (if any).

PS Any reason why someone should have deleted the message from flatulist? It was an inoffensive link to the release notes.
RAX43 Firmware Version 1.0.11.112 - NETGEAR SupportI guess "the vandals took the handles", to quote a great American poet.
Either some automated Anti-Spam measures took actions, or some appointed vandals with the appropriate "rights" granted, appear to be in a private war against what the free world does understand as free speech.
indeed, far to many valid posts removed and threads censored the last months. Very disappointing, we're not in Russia or North Korea!

Remember we talked about the bandwidth on 2.4 GHz where I suggested to stay in the 20 MHz bandwidth range, not combining two channels making up a bandwidth of 40 MHz?
On the 5 GHz band, the max available bandwidth is 160 MHz, on the 6 GHz band the maximum available RF bandwidth is 320 MHz.
I'm not talking about bitrates ... the RAX43 allows AX4300 or 4.3 Gb/s bitrates over a 160 MHz wireless bandwidth. So it should be set to "up to 4300" 8-) ... 1024-QAM modulation for WiFi 6. The older WiFi 5 was built on 256-QAM modulation btw..
It's like Euro (small numbers) and Lira (large numbers). The Esprsso al banca in the bar is still ~1€.
And hey, decent wireless devices make up to 19000 (and more) on 320 MHz bandwidth thanks to 4096-QAM modulation schemes, so 19 Gb/s bitrate - making up WiFi 7.
And don't be confused ... I've just read that some community member wrote the CAT7 cable supplied with his RS700 is not allowing variable speeds. Now I need Grappa -and- a big glass of Limoncello. Technology inflation 8-)

Point taken. Thanks.

Hi Guys.
Quick question please:
In my routers log files, I notice quite a few DoS attacks: Fraggle Attack] from source UNKNOWN,port 68
and RST Scan] from RST Scan] from source 142.251.47.202,port 443 which I don't recognise.
DoS protection is ENABLED.
Should I be worried?
What should I do?
Thanks.

Netgear's firmware is great at creating false reports of DoS attacks. Many of them are no such thing.
Search - NETGEAR Communities – DoS attacks
Use Whois.net to see who is behind some of them and you may find that they are from places like Facebook, Google, even your ISP.
Here is a useful tool for that task:
IPNetInfo: Retrieve IP Address Information from WHOIS servers
If these events are slowing down your router, that may be because it is using up processor time as it writes the events to your logs. Anything that uses processor power – event logging, QoS management, traffic metering – may cause slowdowns. Disable logging of DoS attacks and see if that reduces the problem. This does not prevent the router from protecting you from the outside world.

Thanks for the info.
Will go through it.
Appreciate your assistance.
Enjoy the weekend.

Some advice or guidance please:
Every now and then - say once in a 24hour period, I see the following message in my log file:
WLAN access rejected: incorrect security] from MAC address 72:d7:02:1f:65:ae (randomized) and then 5GHz wireless network gives message No Internet and doesn't work.
2.4GHz works at this time.
Most of the log files lists the following:
[DHCP IP: (192.168.1.24)] to MAC address 72:D7:02:1F:65:AE: and wireless 5GHz works well as does the 2.4GHz.
My security settings for both networks are set to:
WPA2-Personal[AES] + WPA3-Personal which seems far more stable than previously, when I used
WPA2-Personal[AES] which gave Obtaining IP address error.
My device lists security for 5GHz and 2.4GHZ as WPA3(SAE Transition Mode) and both are working exceptionally well - unless I get the WLAN error listed above.
RAX43 has the latest listed firmware
Device is current and running Android 14
Thanks.

Android 14 offers a "Randomised Mac" option?
Turned on?

Yes, of course.

Coming up Android 15:

Thanks for that.
I had set it to use device MAC address, and then I read an article that said this would pose a problem when using other networks that aren't your own and would compromise privacy.
What about a Static IP address?
I'll change it to Device MAC and monitor it.
Thanks

My 5G wireless network worked seamlessly all day - 12 hours, then suddenly it gave message 'No Internet Access'
Problem is compounded as it's connected to 5G, it doesn't automatically swap to 2.4G network.
2.4G works.
Trying to go back to 5G then gives the following message 'Checking for Internet Access'
This happens regularly.
I've set my device (Android 14) to
- use device MAC address
- Static IP
According to router logs at the time of the above issue, the following entry:
WLAN access rejected: incorrect security from MAC address (my device MAC address)
Another A14 device (different make without randomized MAC and DHCP) - also loses the 5G wireless signal.
It will eventually come back, but it's annoying, especially not knowing why it happens.
Funnily enough, with my old R7000, I never had this issue!
With these facts, I assume it's the RAX43 router!
With my 90 days support finished, I can't even ask them!
Unfortunately, I cannot accept it. I need to understand why.
