What's the current status of RAX120 in 2023?
Thinking of buying "Netgear Nighthawk AX12", mainly use as AP. But I read lots of bad review regarding rebooting problem. What's the current status on this? solid enough after firmware upgrade?

An AP does not need top-of-the-class CPU and memory, that's reserved for routers that have to do a lot more than APs. All an AP has to do it forward to the main router.

Yes, but you get more for about same money, better cpu, better memory and antenna than pure AP device.

If you can get it for that price and its cheaper than the equivalent AP, I'd give it a shot.
Yes, you do see some reports but there's many users that have zero issues. You just don't see them posting on here.
Plus you'd have a pretty solid backup router if something ever did happen to your primary router.

And issues with the RAX120 reported here are unlikely to be for devices in AP mode.
They usually deal with features that are disabled in AP mode.
Fortunately, that does not include USB access with ReadySHARE. That still works with routers in AP mode.
