I just got an iPhone 12 pro and the download speed is faster than before but in the connections it shows wifi 5???

Do you have seperate SSIDs for each band? If so, does your iPhone see the 6 GHz/SSID band?

No, the auto feature has worked fine before but this is the first AX device.

if by auto feature you mean Smart Connect? If so, NG's implementation is rather buggy. Many times it is often better to have seperate SSIDs

Yes I agree the software is "rather buggy" and the app is unacceptable, but why doesn't Netgear make necessary corrections so we do not have to do inconvenient workarounds. Thank you for your answer, but wouldn't it be Netgear responsibility to look into this? That is why they have NO direct way to message them.
