iphone 11 and RAX 40
Recently installed a nighthawk RAX40. not 24 hours wifi began dropping and cutting internet off to all devices (wired and wireless). rebooted and one phone continued to drop off and on from the wifi.
Got some assistance through the chat and changed wireless channels to 11 on 2.4 and the highest setting on 5g. iphone 11 still will not connect to either band even with the correct password being used. last resort was to create the guest wifi and it ended up connecting.
Any suggestions to get it back on the 5g wireless?
TIA - David

Re: iphone 11 and RAX 40
Hello David
I also had many issues with the RAX40 and more with iPhone11...
Need to know: my router is used in AccessPoint mode (all menus aren't accessible)
1. When all go wrong, the best is to go back to factory defaults and re-configure.(painfull but efficent)
2. Support told me too to use highest chan for 5GHz chan, but they are DFS channels and at least it goes wrong (based on Europe rules)... So I'd rather to use chan between 36 & 48. And I use the 1200Mbps (2400Mbps is not usable because DFS / RADAR detection)
Based other accessible WiFi for 2.4GHz I use chan=1.
3. I unselect 20/40 Coexistence
4. I unselect AIRTIME FAIRNESS
Now I have less issues... but sometimes the iPhone11 only can't connect to the 5GHz chan (bug to be fixed) and I manage this with a "STOP START" of 5GHz chan (iPhone11 must not try to use the 5GHz during this time).
P.S. when it appends all other WiFi6 devices using 5GHz chan work fine ... and a "Reset Network Settings" on iPhone doesn't change anything.
So you have now all I know based on so many tries....
Best regards
Ron

Re: iphone 11 and RAX 40
4/27 update -
right after posting my issue, i tried one last thing.
I disabled the AX WiFi option. Went back to the iphone 11, entered the network password and it connected.
Hopefully that was the cullprit.

Hello,
sure, if you remove the AX option, it works fine as for myself....
So the question is : why using a WiFi6 router ??!!
As I bought a WiFi6 router, I want to use WiFi6 functionnalities !
If not why do we have to pay +++
