netgear r6250 name seen by windows for wired internet connection
I am seeing different names appearing on Windows 10 for the Netgear router name offering wired internet. On 1 PC it is showing as NETGEAR32 and on the other NETGEAR 24 3
Cannot see how this is changed, as both the wireless names are set to NETGEAR24 and NETGEAR24-Guest. I cant see where it gets the router name from for the wired connection.
Help??
Model: R6250|Smart WiFi Router (AC1600)

Re: netgear r6250 name seen by windows for wired internet connection
Its windows that doing that under its active network profile. Not netgear.
You can change them but you'd need to modify your registry (which I wouldn't recommend if you're not familar with it).
