Re: rax 45 unable to block porn website
Did you try using opendns's family shield setup? you can simply use the DNS address for the family shield.

Did you check the specifications before you parted with your money?
Netgear makes a raft of routers, some of which are designed to do just what you want. But you have to pay for a subscription.
Unfortunately, the RAX40, unlike the RAX40V2, doesn't seem to be one of the devices that supports these features. Unless, that it, it has added them with new firmware. (This happens from time to time.)

Other devices support Circle:

Circle also needs a subscription.
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

Re: rax 45 unable to block porn website
Hi Michael,My product is rax 45 and the parent control is supported.
Based on the talking with the netgrear support engineer, they didn't mention any subscription service.
they only offer to manually input the website to block. did I miss something?
thanks so much for the help

Yes, but what sort of parental controls?
In its wisdom, Netgear keeps changing the names of these things.
The old free version of Parental Controls is dead or dying.
Live Parental Control | NETGEAR
But as @plemans suggests you don't have to use Netgear as an intermediary.
Home Internet Security | OpenDNS
